Dave Gavegnano

Associate Attorney

David Gavegnano brings over two decades of legal expertise to Davis & Davis, PC. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Salem State College in 1997, he earned his Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law in 2001.

David’s legal career began as an Assistant District Attorney at the Bronx District Attorney's Office. As an ADA assigned to the Domestic Violence/Sex Crime Bureau, he gained significant courtroom experience. From his work with domestic violence victims, he also developed the interpersonal skills necessary to assist clients involved in highly adversarial cases.

After his tenure at the District Attorney’s Office, David decided to move into private practice, where he utilized the skills he had gained as an ADA to represent clients in all stages of their criminal cases, from preliminary hearings to trials. His proficiency in legal research and drafting of pleadings, motions, and memoranda helped him become a more effective courtroom litigator.

David expanded his practice to include representing clients in the Probate and Family Court, managing an array of cases, such as divorce, child custody, alimony, modifications, contempt, and adoption. He is committed to understanding the challenges, uncertainties, and stress his clients face in family court. David’s goal for every client is to demystify the legal process and achieve the most favorable outcomes.

David is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States District Court.
